PayMate have already had a very positive response to their Fly Buy SMS service, for flight tickets via SMS and now plans to strengthen their hold on the travel industry with the launch of car hire bookings and hotel bookings.

This service will be available in 6 cities (Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Trivandrum) to start with and will be grown to include 10 cities (Delhi, Pune, Vizag and Kolkata) within the next few weeks. To book your car hire all you need to do is send a SMS message to 667711 with the simple message "CAR". You will be called back immediately by a car hire executive who will then complete your booking. The cancellation and confirmation details will all be sent by an automated SMS engine. Last minute car hire bookings are possible thanks to the 24 hour a day, 7 days a week service.

The idea behind this service is to revolutionise the process of car hire, making it easier with less hassle. All a customer will need to do is send a single SMS and this eliminates lining up at the airport car hire counter or calling the car hire agent. It will come in handy for everyone especially fo making the last second travel plans of travelling business executives.
